Steenbergen retains world title in 100m freestyle

Australian Mollie O'Callaghan finished second in 52.67, and American Torri Huske finished third in 52.89. Milou van Wijk just missed out on a medal with 52.91. Van Steenbergen's compatriot finished fourth.

Steenbergen won the world title in the 100-meter freestyle in Doha last February. At the Paris Olympics, she finished seventh.
