Two people injured during violent fight in Ana subdivision

A violent confrontation between residents of the Ana subdivision sparked a large police mobilization early Saturday morning.
The incident, which occurred around 12:15 a.m. on Isabel and Lila streets, was reported to the 911 emergency center as a widespread public brawl, where several individuals were involved in a fight with blunt objects.
Given the magnitude of the incident, units from the Municipal Public Security Directorate (DSPM), along with members of the State Police, the Torreón Reaction Group (GRT), and the PAR were dispatched to the scene, and they managed to control the situation after several tense minutes.
During the care work, paramedics from the Mexican Red Cross intercepted a private vehicle that was transporting two injured people, identified as Alma Berenice, 37 years old, and her partner Ricardo, who had multiple blows to different parts of the body, in addition to a cut wound on the man's head, allegedly caused by a blunt object, which led to the man being transferred in the ambulance.
The injured were immediately taken to a local hospital, where they received specialized medical attention.
Their health status was reported as stable and they are in a state of recovery.
According to the testimony of a daughter of those affected, about 15 people armed with sticks and stones violently broke into her home, where they attacked her family without even being able to exchange words.
The attacks were allegedly motivated by old grudges they have had for years with other neighbors identified as Irma and Silvina, about whom no further details could be provided.
Agents from the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Coahuila (FGEC) interviewed both parties involved, gathering testimony and evidence, although no one was arrested during the operation, as they had fled.
Witnesses reported that the confrontation was particularly intense and that several residents of the area participated, causing fear among the local residents, who took shelter in their homes as the chaos continued for several minutes.
Likewise, the parties involved were informed that they went to the FGEC (Federal Executive Directorate of Civil Protection) to file the corresponding complaints so that the authorities could act in accordance with the law and in accordance with the complaints filed.
