Skills and excellence for manufacturing: the contribution of ITS Academy Udine

WATCH THE VIDEO. Highly skilled and exceptional local talents are ready to contribute to the manufacturing industry, which continues to drive the region and the country. The Torre di Santa Maria hosted the ITS Academy Udine Day, to recognize the newly graduated Higher Technicians who achieved the highest grades in the 2025 state exam: 110/110 or 110 cum laude. There are 53 of them, nearly a third of the total 170 candidates. These students have already gained significant work experience thanks to internships and 21 months of advanced professional training.
The meeting was an opportunity to celebrate this milestone, the result of a strong and fruitful collaboration between the worlds of education and business, supported by the institutions.
The ceremony was attended by Paola Perabò, president of the ITS Academy Udine Foundation; Mario Toniutti, vice president of Confindustria Udine; Federico Angelo Pirone, councilor for education for the City of Udine; and Alessia Rosolen, regional councilor for employment, training, education, and research. Entrepreneurs and newly graduated high school technicians spoke about their training and internships during the two-year program and their subsequent entry into the workforce. Several innovative project works, prepared and discussed for the 2025 state exam, were then presented. Finally, Daniela Beltrame, director general of the regional school office, drew conclusions.
"In a context of continuous growth toward the frontier of Industry 4.0," emphasized Paola Perabò, president of the ITS Foundation, "skills and excellence play a crucial role for businesses. These are elements that are not easily found, but the ITS Academy Udine has been providing them for years."
"The future of companies," said Mario Toniutti, vice president of Confindustria Udine, explaining the Association's staunch support for ITS, "also depends on the quality of the human capital needed to translate innovation into production processes. This is why we need to create an increasingly stronger link between innovation, businesses, and the education system. This is exactly what ITS does."
"We've supported investments in laboratories, a new headquarters, and now in the detailed definition of supply chains," added Councilor Rosolen. "This means understanding the productive fabric in which we live, and from which we obviously expect that crucial boost for community development. If today we have employment rates for graduates that exceed 90%," he emphasized, "this demonstrates the shared responsibility of those who study and those who seek that type of training—that is, the entrepreneurial side."
Rosolen then recalled the passionate vision of Gianpietro Benedetti, who founded the ITS Academy Udine and its recent move to its new headquarters in Spazio Villalta.
Rosolen, recalling Gianpiero Benedetti's passionate vision, also emphasized how the Region's financial commitment to ITS has increased again this year, exceeding ??? million euros.
