An agreement has been signed between the American Center for Cognitive Research in Italy and the Federico II University of Naples.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Italy (AmCham Italy) and the University of Naples Federico II are joining forces to foster innovation. With the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, the oldest university in Southern Italy and the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy are launching a new collaboration to better connect the academic and business worlds, creating an ecosystem capable of generating new skills and opportunities for internationalization.
Federico II has long been involved in collaborations with global companies such as Apple, Cisco, and Deloitte, and with internationally renowned projects such as Cineca, the supercomputer destined to become a European benchmark. AmCham Italy, through its network and thematic committees, represents a privileged interlocutor for Italian and American companies interested in strengthening transatlantic dialogue.
The collaboration will focus primarily on four priority areas: advanced training in innovative sectors such as AI, cybersecurity, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals; emerging technologies and integration with the Cineca project; international mobility programs for students and researchers, with a particular focus on the US market; and joint workshops and events to bring companies and universities together on key issues of global competitiveness.
"With this agreement, we are strengthening the bridge between Italy and the United States, investing in young people, innovation, and technology transfer. Collaborating with a leading institution like the University of Naples Federico II confirms AmCham's role as a privileged platform for bridging the academic and business worlds," said Simone Crolla, Managing Director of AmCham Italy.
Matteo Lorito, Rector of the University of Naples Federico II, added: "The agreement with the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy is of great significance because it establishes the basis for academic interaction between member companies and the University, a key driver of innovation and technology transfer. It focuses particularly on the professional growth of students and recent graduates and the internationalization of our educational programs in collaboration with the manufacturing sector. The positive impact on companies operating in the US market could be particularly significant, given this unique historical moment. Workshops, internships, and interactions with the University's academies are planned, particularly on topics related to the use of AI, cybersecurity, pharmaceuticals, and various emerging technologies. The agreement will also include specific projects involving the exchange of researchers and students with US companies and studies on overseas markets."
