Coop Alleanza 3.0, handover of general management

The Board of Directors of Coop Alleanza 3.0 has announced a change in the General Management.
Milva Carletti, who joined the Cooperative at the end of 2020 as Corporate Director and subsequently assumed the role of General Manager, is stepping down. Carletti completed a complex turnaround plan for the cooperative, which, following the merger, was struggling with poor results and financial challenges. She thus helped lay the foundation for the company's growth and development. Under her leadership, the company has achieved significant results in sales, benefiting members and consumers, welfare, and sustainability, achieving profitability a year ahead of schedule and confirming its profitability in 2024.
Milva Carletti's departure therefore concludes a virtuous journey for the Cooperative and is part of a more comprehensive project to overhaul its governance, a project that has been explicitly stated several times since the current Presidency took office.
Having achieved positive results (2024 closed with single-brand sales of 5.7 billion and an operating profit of 11 million, while at the Group level the profit was 18 million) and further strengthened, Coop Alleanza 3.0 is thus entering a new phase of development and investment.
Leading the Cooperative in this new and ambitious era, alongside President Domenico Trombone and the entire management team, will be Luca Zaccherini, a manager with many years of experience in leading groups in various industrial, financial, and service industries, including CEO and Executive Director.
"Luca Zaccherini's arrival brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the Cooperative. The new General Manager will be responsible for guiding the Cooperative through its relaunch and market strengthening, pursuing the growth objectives of the Cooperative's core management. He will be able to count on my personal support, that of the entire Board of Directors, and—I am certain—that of each of the more than 16,000 people who contribute to Coop Alleanza 3.0's results every day, " said Domenico Trombone, President of Coop Alleanza 3.0. " Milva Carletti, who over her five years at Coop Alleanza 3.0 has worked with extraordinary skill and dedication, helping the cooperative achieve results that allow it to look to the future with greater strength and efficiency, deserves my sincerest thanks, along with those of the entire cooperative, and I extend my best wishes for her new professional achievements ."
Luca Zaccherini, General Manager-designate of Coop Alleanza 3.0, stated: " It is a source of great pride for me to be able to contribute to the Cooperative's growth. I am aware that, after a significant period of recovery, we face the great challenge of gaining new market share in an increasingly challenging and competitive market. By bringing my experience to the Cooperative, I am confident I can make a decisive contribution to creating value for those who are the driving forces that make Coop Alleanza 3.0 an extraordinary model for the economic and social fabric of our country: our members, our customers, and the people who work with us ."
