Giro 2025: route, profile and schedule of the fourth stage between Alberobello and Lecce

After a day of transition between Albania and Italy, the peloton resumes its route in the Puglia region for a 189km stage between Alberobello and Lecce. Aside from a short, category four climb near Putignano, located at the start of the race, the route presents no real difficulties.
The region's main cities are connected by wide, straight roads, making it ideal for sprinters to take on the challenge. The finish in Lecce is decided by a final 12km sprint, which the peloton will tackle shortly after crossing the finish line. After a near-complete loop, the riders will return to cross the finish line to begin a full lap.
The final three kilometers are flat, with only one significant turn 1,200 meters from the finish, followed by a slight leftward curve in the final kilometer. The final sprint will begin on a 300-meter straight, laid out on an 8-meter-wide road, providing ideal terrain for a fast and dense finish.
