RC Strasbourg is making its grand return to the Europa Conference League this season. The draw for the league phase of the competition was made on Friday, August 29 in Monaco. The Alsatian club will face English club Crystal Palace at its newly expanded Meinau Stadium.

Strasbourg, who had not played in a European Cup for twenty years (the Europa League was then called the UEFA Cup), will also face, at home, the Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok and the Icelandic side Breidablik. They will travel to the grounds of the Slovakian side Slovan Brastislava, the Scottish side Aberdeen and the Swedish side BK Häcken.

Marc Keller, president of RC Strasbourg, savored this moment on Canal+ Foot, describing it as "an important step forward" for a club that was still playing in CFA 2 in 2012. While calling for caution, he set the course: "We will try to be competitive." Regarding the match against Crystal Palace, Mac Keller emphasized: "Our coach knows the Premier League well, the match will be interesting."

At the helm of the Alsatian team since the summer of 2024, Liam Rosenior, 41, embodies this connection with England. The former defender, who notably spent time at Fulham, embraced a coaching career at the end of 2022 before succeeding Patrick Vieira, 1998 world champion, on the Racing bench.

The Conference League's league phase will begin on October 2 and end on December 18. The final is scheduled for May 27, 2026, in Leipzig, Germany.
