One firefighter dead and another injured when the fire truck they were traveling in overturned in León.
A firefighter died tonight and another was injured as a result of a road accident in the León municipality of Espinoso de Compludo, when the fire engine they were traveling in overturned, according to sources from the 112 Emergency Service who spoke to Europa Press. The President of the Regional Government of Castile and León also confirmed this on social media.

The accident occurred at around 10:20 p.m., when a call was received reporting a fire engine overturned after falling down an embankment near the aforementioned town. According to the caller, one person may have died.
Sacyl personnel and National Police officers were dispatched to the scene, where they located the vehicle with one person trapped inside and another found unconscious outside.
The rescue efforts were not easy because the vehicle had fallen in a difficult-to-access location, so the work was directed by the Emergency Coordination Center.
As a result of the serious injuries sustained, one of the firefighters ultimately lost his life.
