Morena grants membership to former minister Norma Piña

Cortijo Guinda.- The Morena party has granted membership to Norma Piña, after she completed her tenure as head of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.

The decision was announced by the party's president, Luisa María Alcalde Luján, who welcomed the former minister, who could appear on the ballot in the 2027 elections.

“ We still don't know what we're going to run her for, but she's going to be our candidate, ” Alcalde said while asking in which state Normita was born.

Despite the ideological differences between the former judge and the ruling party, the latter has decided to open its doors to her in an exercise of partisan consistency.

The former minister's appointment has already generated mixed reactions among party members. While some celebrate the arrival of this figure with "invaluable legal experience," others now wonder who will be blamed for the country's problems if all those responsible are already within the party.

“I always liked Normita,” one chairo commented after deleting posts in which he denigrated the judiciary.

Political analysts are already speculating about the strategy behind the movement:

"This isn't just a boost to membership, it's a master plan to ensure Morena never loses a trial... not even the internal ones," commented one activist who has been trying for years to be nominated for a local deputy.
