Moise Kean will not be available for Fiorentina’s Serie A match against Lecce at the weekend after he was stretchered off with a head injury during the 1-0 loss to Hellas Verona on Sunday, but the Italy international could return in one of the next two games.
Kean was stretchered off in worrying circumstances against Verona on Sunday. The former Juventus striker suffered a blow to the head and a nasty gash to go with it after a three-way collision involving two opposition defenders.
He was patched up on the touchline and sent back onto the pitch a few minutes later, only for him to collapse in the centre-circle shortly after his reintroduction. He was stretchered off, taken to hospital and kept in overnight for observation.

Fortunately, Kean has not suffered any long-term damage and is expected to return to action within the next few weeks.
According to updates from Corriere dello Sport, Kean will not be involved against Lecce on Friday, with Lucas Beltran likely to lead the line in his absence.
It is likely that the Italy striker could return for Fiorentina against either Panathinaikos in the Conference League or against Napoli in Serie A a few days later. Tuesday’s reports suggest that the Napoli clash is a more ‘concrete’ target as things stand.
