Linda Evangelista Back on the Cover of Harper’s Bazaar Feels Like a Missed Opportunity…

Here at theFashionSpot, we ultimately have a love/hate relationship with Samira Nasr’s Harper’s Bazaar. However, things appear to be shaping up. Last month, Nasr (who has served as editor-in-chief since 2020) welcomed a trio of models of the moment as cover girls – to rave reviews by our forum members. This month, for May 2025, none other than Linda Evangelista takes to the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. The undisputed icon of fashion takes to the lens of photographer Anthony Seklaoui, with Bazaar‘s style director at large Carlos Nazario reporting for styling duties. In the newsstand cover image (below), Linda (who was last on the cover fo the Hearst-owned magazine in 2014) gazes down Seklaoui’s lens wearing a belted trench coat from Sarah Burton’s debut Givenchy collection.

“Hum… Happy for Linda, but it’s no from me,” remarked DK92 upon first look.
“Awful lighting and angle,” Marc10 pointed out.
Also quick to mention the lighting was oaklee91. “So blinding I may need sunglasses,” they exclaimed in shock horror.
Forum member fashionsavvvvvy commented: “We needed Robin Galiegue!”
Kokobombon declared the cover was a “missed opportunity!”
“The lighting is indeed all sorts of awful, and very harsh. Linda looks completely washed-out, is a total blur but I cannot help but to love it. Linda Evangelista on the cover of a mainstream fashion title will always get my vote, so I’m very much here for this,” admitted vogue28.
“A stunning US Harper’s Bazaar cover and fashion story! So, so happy to see Linda looking this beautiful. Bravo!” commended MModa.
