Operation launched against those who shared gun-related posts on social media in Ankara
In Ankara , 23 people were detained in an operation targeting suspects who shared images of themselves with guns on social media. The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into individuals posting images of guns on social media. As part of the investigation, Ankara Police Department Public Security Branch teams identified individuals who were firing guns on social media and challenging each other by sharing these images. Following the investigation, simultaneous raids were conducted at designated addresses in the morning hours, with the support of special operations police. Twenty-three suspects with criminal records were detained during the operation, and eight unlicensed pistols were seized.
