Operation against arms smugglers in Çorum: 96 people caught
As part of the investigation conducted by the Çorum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, suspects who were smuggling weapons and ammunition via cargo from individuals in different provinces were identified. As part of the work, operations were carried out in 29 provinces, centered in Çorum.

As part of the investigation, as a result of technical and physical surveillance, 30 unlicensed pistols, 56,100 pistol cartridges, 7 unlicensed rifles, 4 blank-firing pistols, 2 homemade explosives, 2 hand-held radios, 1 bulletproof vest, 4 mortar fragments, some narcotics and a large number of digital materials were seized.
Within the scope of the operation , legal proceedings were carried out against 78 suspects, 6 of whom were under arrest, while 17 suspects and 1 child involved in crime were detained.
It was learned that the investigation into the incident is continuing.
