A New Era Has Begun in Crypto Asset Platforms!
Binance TR, Turkey’s leading crypto asset service provider, has made a significant update to its identity verification processes in line with the relevant regulation and circular published in the Official Gazette. Continuing its commitment to full compliance with local regulations, the platform launched its renewed identity verification system as of February 25, 2025.
Starting February 25, 2025, existing Binance TR users will be directed to a renewed identity verification page before making transactions via the webpage or mobile app.
This update is being implemented in line with the changes made to the "Regulation on Measures to Prevent Laundering Proceeds of Crime and Financing of Terrorism" published in the Official Gazette dated December 25, 2024 and numbered 32763. With the new regulation, crypto asset service providers are defined as financial institutions, while identity verification processes have been made more comprehensive.
