Fire panic at three-story hotel in Gümüşhane! Residents evacuated

A fire broke out around 1:00 a.m. at a three-story concrete and wood construction hotel in the Süleymaniye neighborhood, one of Gümüşhane 's oldest residential neighborhoods. The fire, which began for an unknown reason, caused residents and staff to escape to safety. Firefighters, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency), healthcare teams, and police were dispatched to the scene upon receiving a report. The teams intervened and extinguished the fire before it could spread to nearby buildings. Cooling efforts are underway, and an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
GOVERNOR BARU: BUILDING EVACUATED AS FIRE ALARMS RING
Gümüşhane Governor Aydın Baruş also arrived at the scene to inspect the firefighting and cooling efforts and received information from authorities. In a statement, Governor Baruş said, "Upon receiving the report, the Gümüşhane Municipality firefighters immediately arrived at the scene and are continuously tackling the fire. During the intervention, there were nine guests and three hotel employees in five rooms. They were quickly evacuated when the fire alarms went off. Thankfully, there were no injuries or fatalities."
"NO ONE WAS INJURED"
Governor Baruş also stated that the fire is believed to have started on the lower floor of the hotel, where equipment is located. He said, "The exact cause will be revealed. The important thing is that no one is injured. The fire was brought under control after intensive intervention. We will be hosting our guests in a different hotel."
