"MY SON COULD HAVE DIE"
FG's father, Aziz G. , stated that they had previously experienced problems with the elevator . "A similar incident happened before. My son was trapped in the elevator. I called his friends, and they came and looked. He had fallen 15-20 centimeters before. They fixed it and left. This morning, my daughter-in-law was trapped in the elevator in the same way. My son was getting on the elevator from the ground floor and going up to the second floor. Not even five minutes later, he called me and said, 'Dad, I'm in the elevator, the elevator fell.' The elevator fell from the second to the first floor. There have been many complaints in the past, but no one has dealt with it. This is unacceptable. There was no power outage. I was there, and if that had happened, the lights would have gone out completely. I was there, and my daughter-in-law was there. If management is doing something, they should do it properly. I'm filing a complaint. If my son had fallen down the elevator shaft, he would have died. Who would have saved him then? Thank God for that."
Elevator company officials said the incident had nothing to do with them and was caused by a momentary power outage.
