11 suspects arrested in Diyarbakır robbery operation
Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch's Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau conducted an investigation into thefts in the city. The teams reviewed security camera footage and identified the suspects. Eleven suspects, including an escaped convict with a 24-year prison sentence, were apprehended in the operation, dubbed "Brake." Following procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse and arrested by the on-call judge.
Meanwhile, security cameras captured some of the suspects committing thefts. The footage includes one victim being robbed while livestreaming on social media, and another suspect stealing from a business safe.
