Signatures were delivered for the extraordinary general assembly at Fenerbahçe

The signatures collected for the purpose of holding an extraordinary general assembly in Fenerbahçe were delivered to the club's high council.
Fenerbahçe Volunteers Association President Emrah Tünay, who made a statement to the press members in front of the club building, stated that 9,700 signatures were delivered.
Emrah Tünay made the following statements:
"Approximately 2 months ago, as a reaction to the bad course of events at Fenerbahçe and the mismanagement of our club, we started collecting signatures from our fans and congress members for the most democratic right, an elective extraordinary general assembly . 9,700 signatures were submitted. Our expectation in the following process is for the decision of an elective extraordinary general assembly to be made. We thank our fans who support us. May it be beneficial for our community. We take the bylaws as basis. We submitted the signatures in accordance with the bylaws."
Fenerbahçe 2000 Association President Şevket Yılmaz also stated that they delivered 9,700 signatures to the club.
Emphasizing that 9,400 signatures were required for the election according to the bylaws, Yılmaz stated that 250 signatures were previously given to the club individually and that a total of 9,950 signatures were reached.
Yilmaz said in his statement:
"As you know, according to Article 20, clause (c) of the Fenerbahçe Sports Club Association Statute, the club management is obliged to 'call an extraordinary general assembly meeting within one month' upon the written application of at least one fifth of the congress members who have paid their dues on time. Within this framework, as a result of the signature collection process carried out with great care and devotion by our members, the quorum clearly defined in the statute has been reached and the signatures presented in the attachment are being presented to our club through our high council together with this cover letter."
Stating that the club management is ignoring the provisions of the bylaws, Yilmaz concluded his words as follows:
"However, we regret to state that our club management ignores this clear provision of our bylaws; and states that they will take 20 percent of the total number of members as a basis, based on an opinion received from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, whose legal validity and binding nature is debatable. This approach is completely contrary to our club's institutional memory and past practices. In addition, if our bylaws are not implemented, they are pregnant with many negative consequences."
Fenerbahçe Club President Ali Koç announced in May that they would hold an extraordinary general assembly with elections in September.
Opposition members, who found the election date set by the administration too late, took action to hold the election at an earlier date.
