Samsunspor storms the UEFA Conference League

In the second week of the UEFA Conference League, Samsunspor defeated Ukrainian representative Dynamo Kyiv 3-0 at home.

The goals that brought victory to Samsunspor were scored by Anthony Musaba in the 2nd minute, Marius Mouandilmadji in the 33rd minute and Carlo Holse in the 62nd minute.

Following this result, Samsunspor made it two out of two in the UEFA Conference League and increased their points total to six. Dynamo Kyiv, on the other hand, could not get any points.

Samsunspor, who finished the Super League in third place last season and qualified for European competitions after 27 years, defeated Polish team Legia Warsaw 1-0 away in their first match in the UEFA Conference League.

Samsunspor also became the first Turkish team to win its first two matches in European competitions, excluding the qualifying rounds, without conceding a goal.

Intense interest from fans

Samsunspor fans did not leave their team alone in the match against Dynamo Kiev.

Red and white fans showed their support to their team by filling the New 19 May Stadium, where the match was held.

Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu also watched the match at the stadium.

Ukrainian representative Dynamo Kyiv's players attended the ceremony with Ukrainian flags.

Key moments of the match

GOAL! Samsunspor took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd minute. In a sudden attack, Musaba controlled the ball in the penalty area after receiving a pass from Mouandilmadji and slotted the ball into the back of the net with a stylish shot.

In the 11th minute, Vivcharenko fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, but the ball went narrowly wide.

In the 29th minute, Karavaiev, who was in a good position in the penalty area after Ogundana passed the ball from the left diagonal, sent the ball wide with a poor shot.

GOAL! Samsunspor doubled their lead in the 33rd minute. Celil Yüksel's shot from outside the penalty area deflected off Musaba, who found the ball in front of Mouandilmadji inside the box. He slotted home with a clean shot, sending the ball into the net for 2-0.

In the 39th minute, Holse received a pass from Musaba, who had dribbled into the penalty area, but goalkeeper Neshcheret deflected the ball to the corner at the last moment.

Samsunspor finished the first half of the match ahead 2-0.

In the 59th minute, during a sudden attack by Samsunspor, Mouandilmadji received a pass from Musaba and in a suitable position in the penalty area, but his shot went wide.

GOAL! In the 62nd minute, Samsunspor increased their lead to three. Holse, receiving a pass from Zeki Yavru, unleashed a shot from the edge of the penalty area, which hit the defender and found the back of the net: 3-0.

In the 75th minute, Musaba's powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area went wide of the post.
