Oleksandr Shovkovskyi: Our opponent is a very strong team

Dynamo Kiev coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi made a statement at the press conference held after the match, which ended with a 3-0 defeat to Samsunspor in the second week of the UEFA Conference League.

Shovkovskyi, noting that they conceded a goal right at the start of the match, said, "This goal demoralized my players. However, we still created five chances, but we couldn't capitalize on them. Our opponent is a very strong team. We played well until the second goal we conceded, but we couldn't capitalize on our chances."

Shovkovskyi, noting that they were going through a difficult period due to the Ukraine-Russia war, said:

Nine players have joined us from the youth team. We'll try to do our best for the remaining four matches in Europe. Frankly, the situation in Ukraine is causing us low morale. New players don't want to come to our country. We need new players. That's why the results are so bad. After the war began, our academy players went abroad. Today is a very difficult day, not just for football, but for all of Ukraine. Because we're isolated. Everyone in our country is exhausted by this. So, we just want to talk about the game.
