Blackmail allegations against AKP leader whose son was caught with drugs

A video of Mustafa Seccad Yıldırım, the son of AKP Elazığ Provincial Chairman Şerafettin Yıldırım, using drugs has surfaced. This video was used as a blackmail tool, claiming "his son owes us money."
Speaking to Sözcü newspaper, AKP Chairman Yıldırım claimed that his son had fallen into a loan shark trap. Yıldırım, who explained that the person who shot the video was his son's former business partner, also stated that his son had been defrauded.
Yildirim said:
'THEY LEFT US INTO A TRAP'
My son got into trouble due to his past business dealings. He ended his business seven or eight months ago and is still living with my help. The immoral people operating under the guise of car dealerships have so degraded the boy that they don't recognize God, the prophet, or the scriptures. They sold a 500,000-lira car for one million lira, then bought it back for 500 lira. He made the same mistake. There's no real creditor. If you come to Elazığ and see, they're the center of complete filth. Let's just blame his son, after all, he's politically charged, he'll pay. I told them, 'By God, I swear I won't pay.'"
'I SAW THE VIDEO'
President Yıldırım claimed that they wanted to shoot his son and continued as follows:
"I saw the video, and they're all finished. There are three more people in the video, one of whom is my son's partner. A year ago, the four of them were together, and his partner recorded the video and hid it. I'm constantly with the police chief and the governor. If my son is doing something wrong, let's investigate that. I reported these loan sharks to the police, and they rounded them up and then released them in exchange for signatures."
THE CLAIM THAT THEY HAD THEIR EYES ON THE PROVINCIAL HEADSHIP
Şerafettin Yıldırım stated that those who wanted to take the provincial chairmanship seat did so and continued:
"Do you want to shoot me with my son? You'll be shot with your son... They're doing this politically. I've been the Provincial Chairman for six years. I've never had anything to do with money, I've never been anyone's man. I've only been the mayor's man. The municipal elections have passed, the parliamentary elections have passed, and some people have ambitions for the Provincial Chairmanship. I haven't given anyone any credence. We will be held accountable both politically and to God. What is this ambition, jealousy, and dragging down? I told the Organization Chairman when he came to Elazığ: 'There's a shift from "us" to "me"; if we waste our energy, we'll hit a wall...'"
