When is GPT-5 coming out?

According to the statement made by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, GPT-5 will be available by August 31. Speaking in OpenAI's first podcast, Altman announced the date of the highly anticipated GPT-5, but did not give any details.

Although no official statements have been made about GPT-5, previously revealed information suggests that some of the older models will be phased out when GPT-5 is released.

OpenAI Vice President of Research Jerry Tworek described GPT-5 as the company’s next major model. Here, OpenAI is not aiming to launch a completely different system, but rather to make the models more capable. In other words, the company wants to develop a single model that can do everything.
