Salmonella alert in the US! 7 people hospitalized

A salmonella outbreak has been declared in the US states of California, Missouri, Georgia, Minnesota, Texas, Arkansas, Illinois, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, and Washington. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed the spread of the disease, which has affected at least 16 people. The CDC announced that a salmonella outbreak has been linked to some products from a food delivery company.
It was stated that the outbreak affected at least 16 people in 10 states and 7 people were hospitalized.
Experts emphasized the presence of animal-derived ingredients in the products, stating, "Salmonella is one of the bacteria that most commonly causes food poisoning. It is found in the intestines of animals, spreads through feces, and can be transmitted to humans through raw or undercooked animal-derived foods."
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF SALMONELLA?
Officials emphasized that symptoms of a salmonella outbreak will include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever, noting that illnesses typically take several weeks to be reported. Therefore, they cautioned that the number of cases could rise in the coming days.
Officials of the company in question announced that they contacted their customers directly and informed them about the products.
