Microsoft is pulling the plug on another app

Outlook Lite, which Microsoft began developing for a lighter version of Outlook, is being discontinued. This journey, which began in 2022, continued with over 5 million downloads by the end of 2023. The app was 5MB in size when it was first released.
Outlook Lite, which surpassed 10 million downloads by 2024, will no longer be used after October 6, 2025, according to the new statement.
In the statement, it was stated that Outlook Lite will not be installed after the specified date, but existing users will be able to use the application for a while longer, albeit limited.
Microsoft wants to focus on the Outlook Mobile app on Android for both functionality and user experience, so the company is recommending users switch from Outlook Lite to Outlook Mobile.
