Apple's historic $500 billion investment in the US

Apple's historic $500 billion investment in the US

Technology company Apple will invest more than $500 billion in the US over the next four years. Apple also announced that it will hire 20,000 new employees in the US.

In a written statement from Apple, it was stated that the company decided to develop its teams and facilities in Michigan, Texas, California, Arizona, Nevada, Iowa, Oregon, North Carolina and Washington.

It was stated in the statement that among the planned investments is the establishment of a new factory in Texas, and that investments in artificial intelligence and silicon engineering will also be increased.

These statements came a few days after Apple CEO Tim Cook and US President Donald Trump met in the Oval Office. After the meeting last week, Trump announced that Apple would invest hundreds of billions of dollars. The plan was recorded as the largest US investment commitment in Apple's history. Cook said, "We will continue to work with people and companies across the country to open an extraordinary new page in the history of American innovation." President Donald Trump shared the following on his Truthsocial account: "Apple announced a record $500 billion investment in the United States. They would not have invested even a dime without our trust. Thank you Tim Cook and Apple!"
