A new era in Yandex navigation!

According to a statement from the company, a new feature has been added to Yandex Maps to encourage drivers in Türkiye to be more careful in school zones.

With this feature, drivers are notified by the application in advance when approaching schools and warned to reduce their speed.

When drivers approach uncontrolled pedestrian crossings around schools, the app displays a "Caution, children" warning on the screen and provides an automatic voice alert on all devices simultaneously.

If the vehicle exceeds the speed limit, the app warns the driver with a "Caution: School zone!" message 150 meters before the vehicle reaches the destination.

The app's feature has been activated at approximately 12,000 uncontrolled pedestrian crossings across Türkiye, providing comprehensive protection for young pedestrians' safety.

Drivers can report any issues they believe are missing from the system through the in-app feedback form. Once verified, the information submitted is added to the system, ensuring a safer driving experience for all users.
