Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc: I once again condemn the massacrers from the capital Edirne.

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç , speaking about Israel 's ongoing attacks on Gaza , said, "Our wish is for the massacre and genocide there to end as soon as possible. I once again condemn the massacrers from the capital, Edirne ."

In his speech at the opening of the Workshops Products and Handicrafts Fair organized by the Penitentiary Institutions and Detention Centers Workshops Institution in Selimiye Square in Edirne, Tunç reminded that the human tragedy in Palestine continues.

"WE HAVE DIFFICULTY CALLING ISRAEL A STATE"

Tunç underlined that Israel's attitude towards the Global Sumud Flotilla activists and what they did in Palestine constituted a crime against humanity, and noted the following:

"Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing a crime of genocide in Gaza, slaughtering women and children, and continuing to commit crimes against humanity. Not just for two or two and a half years. Israel has occupied the Palestinian territories for 100 years and has continued to implement a policy of genocide there for years. For 100 years, it has been pursuing a policy of driving Palestinians from their lands. The United Nations Security Council has hundreds of resolutions regarding their withdrawal from the occupied territories. But there is a state that has not complied with any of these resolutions. Since October 7, there is an organization that has been carrying out terrorist activities and committing genocide. We have difficulty calling Israel a state. It has virtually turned into an organization that engages in terrorism."

"THE CRIME OF GENOCIDE IS BEING COMMITTED"

Tunç, who called for the immediate release of detained human rights defenders, said, "You have violated international law and human rights and inflicted great oppression on those living in Palestine. You continue to commit the crime of genocide before the eyes of the world."

Tunç continued: "Our wish is for the massacre and genocide there to end as soon as possible. I condemn the perpetrators of the massacre once again from the capital, Edirne. I hope this genocide will end as soon as possible. These perpetrators of genocide will one day be held accountable before humanity. Just as the perpetrators of the Bosnian genocide were imprisoned years later by the established international court, the day will come when the Israeli genocide perpetrators, those terrorists, will be held accountable before humanity, and they will not be able to escape divine justice."
