Erol Bilecik resigned from his position at Fenerbahçe

Erol Bilecik, who announced his resignation from his position at the yellow-dark blue club on his social media account, used the following statements:

"Due to recent smear campaigns targeting our club, both personally and through my family, I announced to the public my decision at the extraordinary congress in September that I would not be a candidate for Board of Directors. This decision was intended to focus on my responsibilities in line with Fenerbahçe's institutionalization and sustainable growth goals.

Unfortunately, I observe that the attacks directed at me continue to occupy our club's agenda during this period. I wholeheartedly believe that Fenerbahçe should focus solely on its goals of unity and success ahead of the new season.

Therefore, I respectfully inform the public that I have decided to resign from my position as a member of the Board of Directors of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, effective today.

Throughout our previous years in office, we have worked diligently to establish transparency, oversight, and institutionalization in our management policies, particularly by reducing our club's debt burden and restoring its financial structure.

And today, I can say with great peace of mind that our club's financial debt has now reached a sustainable level. Our President, Ali Koç, will announce to our community the good news of achieving financial independence in the very near future. Rest assured, this is not just a financial success; it's a renaissance for our club.

One would wish that everyone's efforts would be crowned in every way. But we know that some struggles wait for their time, while some services grow silently.

One of the greatest honors I've ever had in my life has been serving Fenerbahçe. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has trusted us, supported us, consistently shown their good will, and sincerely expressed their criticism. I seek the understanding of everyone whose hearts I have unknowingly or unintentionally hurt over the past seven years.

On this occasion, I would like to wholeheartedly thank our President Ali Koç, with whom I am deeply honored to serve, all the members of the Board of Directors, our club employees, and the greater Fenerbahçe community. Fenerbahçe forever.
