64 arrests were made in FETÖ operations across Türkiye

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 64 of the 91 suspects apprehended in operations targeting the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) in the last two weeks have been arrested. The operations were carried out in 30 provinces by provincial gendarmerie commands under the coordination of chief public prosecutors' offices and the gendarmerie's TEM department.
Minister Yerlikaya stated in a social media post that the operations were being conducted in a coordinated manner. He added that judicial control measures had been implemented for three of the suspects apprehended, while the others were still being processed.
The statement determined that the suspects were operating within the terrorist organization's current structure, contacting responsible individuals within the organization through payphones, providing financing to the organization, and engaging in FETÖ propaganda through their social media accounts. Prosecutors announced that an investigation has been launched against them.
Minister Yerlikaya thanked the units involved in the operations and noted that the operation was a successful one. The statements were considered a significant step toward identifying FETÖ's organizational activities and ensuring the effective conduct of judicial processes.
These operations stand out as part of the intensive efforts being carried out throughout Turkey in the fight against terrorist organizations. The arrest of the suspects is considered a serious measure to curb the organization's financial and propaganda activities.
