Ozan Doğulu is the new target of scammers! He lost millions of lira while thinking he was investing.

Famous DJ and musician Ozan Doğulu was defrauded of 12 million Turkish Lira by a fake "Forex investment" ad he came across on social media. Initially unaware of the scam, Doğulu realized the scam and contacted the police after the scammers demanded money again.

Fraudsters Transferred Money to Foreign Exchanges

According to an exclusive report by Ekol TV reporter Çağdaş Evren Şenlik, Doğulu made a large cash transfer after believing in an investment offer from scammers. According to initial findings by cybercrime teams, the 12 million Turkish Lira Doğulu invested has been distributed across five different foreign exchanges.

Investigation launched

Following Ozan Doğulu's complaint, the Istanbul Police Department's Cybercrime Branch launched a trail of the money. A comprehensive cyber operation was launched to identify and apprehend the suspects. Technical surveillance is currently underway on the digital wallets and platforms through which the money was transferred abroad.

It was learned that the scammers approached Ozan Doğulu on social media, presented him with a professional, trustworthy interface, and then connected him with so-called investment advisors. It was determined that a systematic fraud scheme was operating, and the famous musician was lured into losing millions of lira through this method.

Following the incident, experts warned citizens against fake investment and cryptocurrency ads, which are particularly common on social media. Cybersecurity experts warned, "We should be wary of investment offers from unofficial sources. No serious investment company would offer investment advice through individual accounts on social media."
