Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into some citizens who protested the blockade of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters on social media and in front of the provincial building.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched a judicial investigation into the incidents that took place in front of the CHP Provincial Headquarters and those who shared provocative social media posts. In a lawsuit filed by the CHP Istanbul Provincial and Congress Delegate over irregularities at the Istanbul Provincial Congress, allegations of profiteering, and alleged actions aimed at influencing the will of the voters, the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance has assigned a temporary committee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters, its management, and its boards as a precautionary measure. The objections filed by the CHP General Chairmanship in the judicial courts and the applications submitted to the Supreme Election Council against this decision have been rejected. Respecting the judiciary's decision is an obligation for everyone. The rule of law is the guarantee of the democratic order. Therefore, it is crucial to avoid street calls that will create tension and unrest in society, and for everyone to calmly await the outcome of the judicial process. It is crucial that statements made during the ongoing trial be handled with a sense of responsibility. It is the most appropriate course of action for all party officials, especially the CHP General Chairman, to adopt a tone that protects the peace of our nation and the democratic order.
