Those who are constantly tired, pay attention to these symptoms! Depression, hair loss, and unexplained pain could be the cause...

Behind complaints such as constant fatigue , unreasonable pain, and even bone fractures caused by a simple fall, may lie the parathyroid glands, the unsung heroes of the body's calcium balance.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yılmaz emphasized that hyperparathyroidism, which occurs when these glands produce excessive hormones, is often confused with other disorders and is often detected incidentally.
Prof. Yılmaz explained that the parathyroid glands are located just behind the thyroid gland, saying, "These glands secrete parathormone. This hormone allows calcium to be dissolved from bones and reabsorbed from the kidneys and intestines. However, if this balance is disrupted, symptoms such as muscle pain, fatigue, depression, hair loss, and frequent urination can occur."
Prof. Dr. Yılmaz, who stated that the disease is often confused with other problems, warned, "It is absolutely necessary to check the calcium and parathyroid hormone levels of patients who frequently pass kidney stones, experience unknown abdominal and back pain, or experience bone fractures for no apparent reason."
Prof. Yılmaz emphasized that the parathyroid glands are not visible from the outside because they are located inside the body, behind the thyroid gland. He said, "Neither the patient nor the doctor can detect this gland through physical examination. Diagnosis is only made through blood tests and imaging methods such as scintigraphy, ultrasound, and MRI."
Prof. Yılmaz stated that the most common cause of the disease is the enlargement of a single parathyroid gland and the production of excess hormones, adding, "Once the diagnosis is confirmed, this gland is removed with a minor operation similar to thyroid surgery, and the patient is completely cured."
Prof. Yılmaz emphasized that people with symptoms such as frequent urination, excessive water drinking, unexplained abdominal, back, and bone pain, unexplained bone fractures, recurring kidney stones, intense fatigue, depression, hair loss, and muscle cramps should definitely have their calcium levels checked.
