New move in Cranberry Sherbet after investigation: The scenario is changing

The series "Kızılcık Şerbeti" (Red Sherbet), which aired on Show TV and reached a wide audience, entered a new crisis following a review by the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK). The anticipated relationship between Doğa and Firaz, which received intense viewership backlash, forced the production team to revise the script. This development resulted in the removal of the trailer for the series' new episode from all digital platforms, and its release was delayed.
According to journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the trailer will be released with a delay because new scenes about the Doğa-Firaz relationship have been written into the series' script. The series' producer, Gold Film, released a statement regarding the RTÜK investigation, saying, "We always take into consideration the sensitivity of Turkish society towards the values of family, in particular."
While the series remained a trending topic, an investigation was launched against screenwriter Merve Göntem on charges of "encouraging prostitution" and "inciting to commit a crime." A social media post Göntem made four years ago about a fictional character in another digital platform series, "Çıplak," resurfaced, sparking the investigation. Göntem, who was detained as part of the investigation, was released with an international travel ban.
