His dream came true
Impressed by the experiences of Cemile Bozkurt, whose life story was recently featured by Anadolu Agency, Gaziantep University Tourism and Hotel Management Vocational School Director Dilara Bahtiyar Sarı and her team took action when they learned about little Cemile's dream of becoming a chef.

Taking action with the approval of GAÜN Rector Prof. Dr. Sait Mesut Doğan, Sarı, along with faculty members İbrahim Demir and Meryem Nisa Kerkez, who teach kitchen and service courses in the department, and student Türkan Coşkun, visited the Bozkurt family's home in the central Şahinbey district.
The team presented Cemile with an apron bearing her name, and the academics made desserts and fruit cocktails with the little girl, sharing some tips on gastronomy with her.
Dilara Bahtiyar Sarı, Director of the Tourism and Hotel Management Vocational School at Gaziantep University, said that when they saw the news about Cemile, they wanted to do something for her.
Sarı explained that they took action to make Cemile's dream come true, saying, "We wanted to touch Cemile's life and ensure she had a special, beautiful day. We were deeply saddened to learn that she hadn't been able to go out due to a certain illness. That's why we came to her home; our goal was to touch her life. We wanted to keep our hearts together in the culinary pursuits Cemile loved."
Sarı stated that they will continue to be in contact with Cemile and that they can continue to give Cemile lessons if the family wishes.

Cemile Bozkurt also expressed her desire to become a chef and expressed her happiness that her wish had come true, and thanked the academics.
Mother Emine Bozkurt said that they were also happy with Cemile's happiness.
Father Serdal Bozkurt stated that the esteemed teachers organized a wonderful event for Cemile as best they could, and said, "I am proud of my daughter. I hope she will become a chef in the future."
