A new era in smoking cessation: Teams and mobile clinics in the field in 81 provinces

The Ministry has implemented a new practice within the scope of the fight against tobacco.
To raise awareness among tobacco users, to encourage them to quit using tobacco products, to connect citizens who are convinced to quit smoking with a doctor simultaneously, and to provide the necessary outpatient clinic services, "Fight Against Tobacco Teams" (TIM) and "Mobile Smoking Cessation Polyclinics" have been launched in 81 provinces and districts.
The Anti-Tobacco Teams, which have become active in 81 provinces and districts under the coordination of the Ministry, meet with citizens in areas such as city squares, parks, villages, organized industrial zones, university campuses, shopping malls and marketplaces.
The treatment process is starting in vehicles and mobile areasThe teams provide information about the harms of tobacco and tobacco products, passive smoking, smoke-free air, the ALO 171 Quit Smoking Hotline, the ALO 184 Tobacco Reporting Line and the Green Detector Application.
After the information, citizens who use tobacco products are directed to Mobile Smoking Cessation Polyclinics or the ALO 171 Smoking Cessation Hotline, depending on their addiction level.
In areas where Tobacco Control Teams are located, vehicles and suitable mobile facilities are also prepared, and Mobile Smoking Cessation Clinic services are provided by physicians trained in tobacco addiction treatment. This allows citizens who decide to quit smoking to begin their treatment process simultaneously with the support of a physician.
