Microsoft's decision to invest in the UK

Microsoft Vice Chairman and Company President Brad Smith wrote a blog post ahead of US President Donald Trump's visit to the UK, which will be hosted by King Charles III of England.
The article reported that Microsoft will invest $30 billion in artificial intelligence infrastructure and ongoing operations in the UK from 2025 to 2028.
In the article, which pointed out that this is the largest financial commitment made to the UK to date, the statement was included: "This investment also includes $15 billion in capital expenditures to create the UK's cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure."
The article stated that this investment will enable the establishment of the country’s largest supercomputer, containing more than 23,000 advanced graphics processing units, in partnership with the Nscale company.
It was stated in the article that the investment in question will also expand the scope of the Microsoft data center to meet the increasing demand for artificial intelligence from British companies, while the other half of the investment will support the company's ongoing activities throughout the UK.
