The 13th Bosphorus Film Festival International Feature Film Competition has been announced.

This year, 10 films will compete for the grand prize at the festival , which will be held from November 7-14, with Anadolu Agency ( AA ) as its Global Communications Partner.

The productions "Dj Ahmet", "In My Parents' House", "Lost Land", "Renoir", "Sanding Dreams", "The Love That Remains", "The President's Cake", "Where Do We Begin", "Whisper My Name" and "Wind, Talk To Me" were selected for the "International Feature Competition".

"Dj Ahmet," a joint production of North Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Serbia, and Croatia, was directed by Georgi M. Unkovski. The film tells the life story of 15-year-old Ahmet, who lives with his younger brother, father, and sheep in a small Yoruk village in North Macedonia.

German production and directed by Tim Ellrich, "In My Parents' House" tells the story of Holle, a spiritual healer who cares for her ailing mother and schizophrenic brother while confronting her family's resilience and the weight of a hidden crisis.

Akio Fujimoto's "Lost Land," a co-production of Japan, France, Malaysia and Germany, tells the story of Shafi and Somira, who live in a refugee camp in Bangladesh. They are left alone in Thailand after the illegal boat they boarded to go to Malaysia in the hope of finding their families crashes, and they rediscover their hope with the help of strangers.

A co-production of Japan, France, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia, Chie Hayakawa's "Renoir" tells the story of 11-year-old Fuki, who lives in Tokyo in 1987, growing up in solitude with her sickly father and busy working mother.

Directed by Anton Mamykin, the Russian production "Sanding Dreams" tells the story of a young rocket science student who, upon learning of a family emergency, risks his space dream for the sake of his family and loved ones and embarks on a journey to a remote village.

A co-production of Iceland, Denmark, Sweden and France, Hlynur Palmason's "The Love That Remains" brings to the big screen the story of a family with three children living in a remote town in Iceland.

A co-production of Iraq, the USA, and Qatar, directed by Hasan Hadi, "The President's Cake" tells the story of 9-year-old Lamia's challenging journey to prepare Saddam's birthday cake in 1990s Iraq.

Directed by Monika Majorek, the Polish film "Where Do We Begin" tells the story of three siblings who, after the sudden death of their father, confront the past and their repressed emotions by reliving childhood photos.

Directed by Rasoul Sadrameli, the Iranian production "Whisper My Name" tells the story of Ziba's dream of independence, which becomes complicated when her father escapes from a mental hospital on her birthday. Stefan Djordjevic's "Wind, Talk To Me," a co-production of Serbia, Slovenia, and Croatia, tells the story of Stefan's journey to complete his unfinished film after reuniting with his family after the death of his mother.
