The "Name of Victory: Türkiye, July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day" exhibition opened at Istanbul Airport.

The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, Istanbul Airport operator İGA, and the July 15 Association, features photographs from that night that demonstrate the will of the Turkish people in the face of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization's (FETÖ) treacherous coup attempt on July 15, 2016.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Istanbul Airport Local Administrator Governor İlker Haktankaçmaz said that holding this event at the airport has a very important mission in terms of explaining this event to foreigners.

It is a very important venue for both expressing the heroism of this nation, demonstrating the power of solidarity, and revealing what this treacherous network is capable of."
İGA's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Selahattin Bilgen, emphasized that July 15th was a glorious epic of resistance written by the nation.
Bilgen, describing the arrangements made at the airport for July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day, said, "In this exhibition, located in front of the Istanbul sign at our airport, you will witness the silent but powerful cry of those who champion democracy. The fact that digital content prepared by the Presidential Directorate of Communications will be broadcast on our screens will further enhance this year's program."
Bilgen stated that all local and foreign guests will witness Türkiye's journey towards democracy this week, and said:
As the airport, we have a tradition of participating in the July 15th event, where we adorn Türkiye's iconic structures with the colors of our flag. This year, we will display the glorious Turkish flag in red and white on our air traffic control tower. You will also see the Turkish flag at our entrance gates, passport control points, and counter areas; at our VIP entrance, you will see photographs of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and our President; and on our exterior, you will see a large 30-meter flag placed on the Istanbul banner, which has become the symbol of our airport. These visual displays weren't just an exhibition; they were also a sign of awareness and gratitude. Every passenger at our airport will feel the unity, strength, and faith of our nation through these symbols.
"As an association, we organize nearly 40 programs both at home and abroad."President of the July 15 Association, İsmail Hakkı Turunç, stated that the national unity and solidarity of the state and democracy were targeted on July 15, and that the nation, united in its spirit, suppressed FETÖ's coup attempt.
Turunç stated that the association will explain the treacherous coup attempt at events abroad. He said, "This year, we are organizing nearly 40 programs both domestically and internationally. Last year, we traveled to 11 countries and spoke with families of martyrs, veterans, and fellow association members about questions like, 'What did we experience on July 15th?' 'Who were the traitors we faced?' 'What kind of stance did our nation take as heroes?' This year, we will travel to 18 countries again, God willing, to explain this to those countries so they don't experience similar problems and difficulties."
The exhibition, which features photographs taken by Anadolu Agency (AA) photojournalists and reporters, can be visited until July 18.
