Singer's 170th Anniversary Exhibition: Time Travel in Sivas

Singer, the inventor of the sewing machine, presented a special exhibition that brings together the past and the present on its 170th anniversary. The "Singer 170th Anniversary Exhibition" will be open to visitors at the Sivas Atatürk and Congress Museum from September 3rd to December 18th.

Opened on the anniversary of the Sivas Congress, one of the most important turning points in our Republic's history, with the participation of Sivas Governor Dr. Yılmaz Şimşek, the exhibition adds a new page to historical memory.

From past to present with nostalgic products

The "Singer 170th Anniversary Exhibition" showcases approximately 70 nostalgic Singer products from various eras, dating back to the 1800s, that hold both functional and cultural value. Visitors will encounter not only sewing machines but also Singer-branded pocket watches, radios, fans, and other items that touch upon various aspects of daily life. These carefully collected pieces from across Anatolia take visitors on a fascinating journey through time.

“We are bringing to light the values ​​in society’s memory”

Singer Türkiye General Manager Sinem Kınran Parlak made the following statement about the exhibition:

As Singer, we have a deep-rooted history spanning 170 years. With this exhibition, we are not only revealing the history of our brand but also the values ​​etched in society's memory. We are deeply proud to open our exhibition on the anniversary of the Sivas Congress, in this meaningful city that bears the legacy of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. We invite everyone to our exhibition, which offers visitors a wide range of items, from sewing machines to various products that touch daily life.

Open until December 18th

The exhibition, which will be open to the public for approximately three and a half months and pays tribute to the days when Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk spent time in Sivas, will run until December 18th. Bringing nostalgia to the present and touching on the emotions, the selection invites history buffs and culture and art enthusiasts to the Sivas Atatürk and Congress Museum.
