Bodrum International Film Festival begins

It has been announced that the International Bodrum Film Festival, which will be organized by the Bodrum Cinema and Culture Association between October 3-8, 2025, will be held in Bodrum and the island of Kos.

Filmmakers from both countries will come together

Festival organizer Cenk Sezgin stated, "Born from the 12 years of experience at Bodrum Turkish Film Week and the CineBodrum Sector Summit, BIFF is not just a festival; it's a platform that unites audiences and filmmakers, discovery and mastery, and Mediterranean warmth with the universal language of cinema." Sezgin continued, "At the heart of the festival is the international feature film competition. Furthermore, with the Turkey-Greece Cinema Meeting, filmmakers from our two neighboring countries will gather around the same table to explore collaborations that will inspire joint projects. The festival will showcase compelling films focusing on human stories, productions suitable for family viewing, and striking award-winning examples from world festivals."

Eight films making their Turkish premieres will compete at the festival. The out-of-competition sections feature the year's most notable films, which have been featured at major festivals, many of which will be screened in Türkiye for the first time.

Film screenings will take place at Cinemarine cinemas. There will also be free screenings at Bodrum Castle and various other outdoor venues. This program, to be announced in September, will bring Bodrum's cinematic atmosphere to the streets.

CINEMA BRIDGE BETWEEN Türkiye AND GREECE!

One of the festival's most notable features is the Turkey-Greece Cinema Meeting. This event, organized with the support of the Kos Municipality, will bring together prominent producers and directors from both countries to develop joint production projects. Coordinated by Anna Maria Aslanoğlu, a producer who has won numerous awards at international festivals, the event will be held in collaboration with Kos Municipality.
