• CONCERT
DasDas, one of the Anatolian side's cultural and artistic centers, began a new concert series this month titled "Voices in the Courtyard." Every Friday and Saturday evening until October, the Smash Courtyard Stage will be open to independent local musicians. Can Kazaz, Tuğçe Şenoğul, Batuhan Polat, and Kaan Arslan Co. are among the artists who will be performing.
• CINEMA
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Beyoğlu Cinema, a landmark on İstiklal Street, continues to introduce moviegoers to the magical world of the silver screen free of charge during the summer months. Denis Villeneuve's "Dune: Desert Planet" and "Dune: Desert Planet Part Two" will be shown back-to-back on Friday, July 18th, as part of the Night Cinema program. Free tickets are available on the Istanbul Yours app.
• FOR CHILDREN
A variety of workshops and art interpretations await children at Istanbul Modern during the Summer Art School. The events, which will continue until Friday, August 29th, with 10 different workshops, focus on different art forms, concepts, and techniques, giving children the opportunity to interpret and create art at a young age. For those seeking to experience the healing power of art under the shade of olive trees, world-renowned artist Ekrem Yalçındağ's exhibition "Nature. Form. Perform." is the perfect fit. Through his works, Yalçındağ invites art lovers to delve into the depths of nature, the subtleties of form, and the vibrancy of performance. The exhibition, a collaboration between Warehouse by The Stay and FA Art Gallery, will be open to visitors throughout the summer.
• EXHIBITION
Ahmet Güneştekin's new exhibition, "You Were Not There," opened to the public at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, accompanied by curators Sergio Risaliti and Paola Marino. The works, comprising sculpture, video, and installations, will be on view in a special installation spread across various sections of the museum until September 28th. With its powerful narrative that confronts history and memory, the exhibition is impacting not only art lovers but also the global art scene.
