90th anniversary celebrated at AKM

CULTURE The 90th anniversary of the General Directorate of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism was celebrated with a special event held at the Atatürk Cultural Center. The show, which featured a wide range of performances ranging from symphonic music to folk dances, from mehter to sema, was met with great interest from art lovers. Approximately 200 artists took the stage at the event, attended by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Batuhan Mumcu and General Director of Fine Arts Ömer Faruk Belviranlı. The show, which included the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Istanbul Historical Turkish Music Ensemble, State Folk Dances Ensemble, Istanbul State Turkish Folk Music Choir, and Modern Folk Music Ensemble, also received high marks from the audience for the mehter band and sema performances.
