Samsunspor Football Director Çapa: Our goal is to get out of the top 8

Samsunspor Director of Football Fuat Çapa, commenting on Samsunspor's 3-0 home victory against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev in the second week of the UEFA Conference League, expressed his happiness at the victory. Çapa said, "Today was a wonderful evening for us. Playing our first Conference League group stage match at home and securing our second victory in front of our respective teams was crucial. When the fixtures were drawn, there were two teams that were strong on paper. The first came from the first pot, the second from the second pot. Of course, conceding a victory against these teams made us happy. But at the same time, our country made it three out of three, and Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and we all won today, and all three of us contributed to the national rankings, which was a special pleasure."
'OUR GOAL IS TO GET OUT OF THE TOP 8'
Çapa, stating that they are improving their game every day, said, "Today's match was very important for us in this sense. Because when the first draw was made, we were counting on 19 out of 24 in the group. Now we have to make different calculations. And that's what makes us happy. Because if we win the next home game, we will get 9 points. So, 12-14 points will definitely put us in the top 8. That must be our next goal. We are also happy with the game's constant improvement, and the adaptation and contribution of our players, especially our new players, makes us happy. The players are finding form intermittently because we needed to get to know the new players a little. Today we see that. We clearly see that the transfers we made, not just today but last week and even the week before, were made logically and in accordance with a certain playing philosophy. We are happy to win today. Tomorrow I'm flying to Austria. We have new projects there. We will be meeting with a few clubs regarding our projects there. "We have already started the work for the half-time," he said.
Samsunspor defender Lubomir Satka, expressing his happiness at leaving the match with three points, said, "We are very happy with the three points. We now have six points. Today's match was very difficult, but we played well. We are very happy." (DHA)
