Latest status in Can Holding investigation: Holding's shares in Tekfen seized

Tekfen announced that these shares had also been seized. The statement included the following information:
"By the decision of the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office; our Company has been notified of the decision numbered 2025/7284 D.Is regarding the seizure of the partnership shares of Can Culture, Art and Education Institutions Inc., KCN Real Estate Investment Inc. and MCN Real Estate Investment Inc. in our Company's capital, amounting to 17.56%, within the scope of Article 128 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, pursuant to Article 17 of Law No. 5549."

Allegations of money laundering, fraud, forging documents, and tax evasion span a period of approximately five years.
It is alleged that these crimes were used to create a profit-oriented organisational scheme.
It is alleged that 88 billion lira of unknown origin entered the company's accounts.

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's statement stated that the suspects were trying to increase their economic power and gain power and prestige in the public eye and in economic life.
The gendarmerie seized numerous digital materials, documents, and computer hard drives from companies transferred to the TMSF (Savings Deposit Insurance Fund). The investigation is ongoing.
