Writer Sevda Türküsev had recently traveled on the same plane with singer İrem Derici. Türküsev had posted a video from the airport after the plane had landed, criticizing Derici and her team.
Sevda Türküsev stated in the video she published that she did not experience any problems during the flight, but after the plane landed, İrem Derici and her team disturbed the people around because of their loud talking and laughing.

Unfortunately, we were on the same plane. It is interesting that a person with such a beautiful voice does not know how to behave in public. Swearing, shouting and laughing... They act as if it is their private space as a whole. An artist is a whole, but first learn how to behave in public."
RESPONSE FROM İREM DERICIResponding to Sevda Türküsev's criticism, İrem Derici had also said, "Shut up, unhappy chick! She was supposedly laughing with us when she got on the plane, keko. Oh my God, unnecessary sister."

My client İrem Derici was subjected to false allegations on February 24, 2025, when she was recorded with a mobile phone camera without her permission by a person she did not know, whose name she later learned to be Sevda Türküsev, at Istanbul Airport. Sevda Türküsev accused her client of being such a stranger, while also filming her and saying loudly enough for her to hear, “That İrem Derici and her team coming from behind. How painful it is for a person to have such a beautiful voice but not know how to behave in public. It is as if the plane is theirs, the airport is theirs, talking and shouting are abnormal, abnormal behaviors. Shame on you! An artist is a whole in every way, and it is not possible to do it with a voice alone!”
Sevda Türküsev shared the camera recording on all her social media accounts and shared her humiliating, unfounded and baseless accusations against her client, a public figure, with her followers in order to gain interaction.
The allegations of the person who has previously been a party to false news with the aim of creating a chaotic environment and feeding off of it and who has been involved in such processes, regarding my client İrem Derici, are completely untrue and unfounded. We would like to inform the public about this matter. We also want to present to the public the benefit that the person, who did not convey any of his complaints to the airline employees on the plane, expects from sharing such a post after getting off the plane.
