SKA wins KHL season for the first time under Larionov


The hockey club SKA from St. Petersburg has started winning matches of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) under the leadership of new coach Igor Larionov. The team won its first victory over the club Traktor from Chelyabinsk with a score of 5:2 (1:0, 2:2, 2:0). This is reported by the RIA Novosti agency.
The winners' goals were scored by Matvey Korotkiy (14th minute), Marat Khairullin (24), Matvey Polyakov (28), Brennan Menell (47) and Sergei Plotnikov (58). The visitors' goals were scored by Pierrick Dube (28) and Alexander Kadeikin (38).
Before the victory under Larionov's leadership, the St. Petersburg team lost two matches in a row. Before the game, Traktor had one win and three losses.
SKA's next game will be at home against the Lada team from Tolyatti on the 14th. On the same day, Traktor will travel to play the Sochi team.
