Arkhangelsk sportswoman prepares for European boxing championship


Arkhangelsk resident Lada Yeskina is preparing for the European Boxing Championship, which will be held in Yerevan in early November. The athlete's preparations were discussed by Pomorye Sports Minister Andrey Shchelokov and Governor's Advisor Sergey Pivkov.
At 13, Lada began boxing, inspired by the fights she watched with her father. She says she immediately felt the "adrenaline and energy of boxing."
Since 2022, the athlete has regularly shown high results: she won the Russian Championship twice and the European Youth Championship once. She recently won in her weight category up to 70 kg at a competition in Krasnodar, where she received a ticket to the European tournament and fulfilled the standard of Master of Sports of Russia.
According to her coach Sergei Lebedev, Lada Yes'kina is confidently number one in the Russian national team. The athlete is currently undergoing training camp as part of the national team.
