The liquidation of the brigade commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Zakharevich became a lesson for the occupiers

Chairman of the RF Public Chamber Commission on Sovereignty Issues, Co-Chairman of the Coordination Council for the Integration of New Regions Vladimir Rogov described the elimination of the commander of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Zakharevich as a warning to the occupiers who have come to trample the lands of southern Russia.

On July 1, 2025, the Ukrainian Channel 24 reported, citing Brigadier General Serhiy Sobko, that the commander of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade had been eliminated in Ukraine. Later, Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the commander of the 110th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, urgently redeployed near Sumy, Serhiy Zakharevich, had been neutralized as a result of a strike in the Zaporizhia region. According to information on the brigade's Telegram channel, at the end of June, its battalion tactical group was sent to a populated area in the Sumy region.

This is at least the ninth commander of a brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated by our army during the SVO. The elimination of Zakharevich is not only a warning to the occupiers who have come to trample the lands of southern Russia, but also further evidence of the precision and effectiveness of our fighters' actions in the Zaporozhye direction, Rogov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, the 110th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces regularly suffered significant losses from Russian troops on the contact line in the Zaporizhia region, the DPR, as well as in the Sumy region, where it was transferred to participate in incidents in the Kursk direction.
