BiH court sentences Dodik to one year in prison for disobeying High Representative

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sentenced the President of the Republika Srpska (entity BiH) Milorad Dodik to one year in prison and six years of a ban on political activity due to his ignoring the decisions of the High Representative of the International Community in the country Christian Schmidt, the newspaper Dnevni avaz reported.

According to the publication, this is a decision of the court of first instance, which can be appealed. Dodik himself did not appear in the courtroom and is watching the verdict from the building of the National Assembly (parliament) of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka.
