Xabi Alonso comments on Endrick's future at Real Madrid

Coach Xabi Alonso reinforced his confidence in Endrick and indicated that the young striker will remain at Real Madrid. In a press conference held this Saturday, the 18th, the coach emphasized that the Brazilian is in the club's plans, but acknowledged the intense competition for a position in the team's attack, which features players like Mbappé and Vini Jr.
"It's not considered (Endrick and Gonzalo García leaving). It's not in my mind. They're both ready to play. But it's a position where we have a lot of competition," said Xabi Alonso, also commenting on Spaniard Gonzalo García , who lost his place after a good performance in the Club World Cup.
Endrick, 19, has not played since May 18, when Real Madrid beat Sevilla 2-0. Since then, he has been recovering from an injury and, after becoming available, has been on the bench for the team's last five matches.

Xabi Alonso also commented on Vini Jr's performance for the Brazilian National Team at the last FIFA World Cup: "Vini Jr. plays more as a winger for us than as a striker, but we've already put him in that position. Brazil played well against Korea. They have players with great mobility and who can interpret the game well. We can do something similar, I know that."
Leading La Liga with 21 points from eight games, Real Madrid is looking to extend its lead at the top of the table. The team returns to action this Sunday, the 19th, at 4 pm (Brasília time), against Getafe , at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez .
